Welcome to Pic & Mix, a mother-daughter owned candy & camera shop located in the heart of Kenmore Square, just steps from Fenway Park. We opened our doors in February 2026 with a simple idea to bring together two things we love: sweets & film photography. Leaning into the nostalgia of the 90’s & early 2000’s, Pic & Mix brings your favorite childhood candy shop to life, but with the more refined palette of an adult.
We specialize in sourcing sweets from around the world that strike a balance between indulgence & mindful enjoyment, finding sweets that not only taste good, but also feel better for our bodies. With three main sweet offerings - Classic Pic & Mix, Chocolate Pic & Mix, & prepackaged Quick Pics - there’s something to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth.
Now, you might be asking yourself, just how does film photography fit into this? It all goes back to nostalgia. In a world of social media and instant replays, we yearn for the innocence & intentionality of film - the anticipation, imperfections, and memories you can only look back on once a roll is developed. We believe that the best moments are the ones that are taken just for you, & hope our shop helps you find something sweet & worth capturing.
What We Limit
Artificial sweeteners Aspartame, Sucralose, & Saccharin - can cause stomach upset and overtime lead to an increased risk of stroke, kidney issues, & heart disease.
Trans fat is an unhealthy type of saturated fat that, when man-made, is known to increases the risk of heart disease.
High fructose corn syrup is commonly used as a cheaper alternative to sugar. However, it has been linked to health concerns such as obesity, heart disease, and type 2 diabetes.
Artificial dyes (Blue 1, Blue 2, Green 3, Red 3, Red 40, Yellow 5, Yellow 6, and Titanium Dioxide) have a multitude of sensitivity and carcinogenic concerns.

Get a pic to go with your custom mix! You can keep the sweet memories going with one of our film cameras. & when you’ve finished the roll, bring it back to us for developing!
